Therapy Dog Connection

We are a group of pet owners that have a common interest in sharing our dogs with other people that could use a bright spot in their day. We are all volunteers to our community that have trained our dogs by participating in obedience classes, socialization in group settings and raising them in our homes as part of our families. We individually, as well as a group, want to share the love that our dogs give to us with other people by visiting a variety a facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes and individuals. Their dogs encourage people with their personalities and waging tails. Sharing their joy promotes healing and brings happiness which improves the quality of life to all that participate.
We are an organized group of teams, handler and dog, that are certified by one of the following three main therapy organizations.
These organizations have different but similar requirements for certification to do “Visits” as a team.
All visits scheduled through Therapy Dog Connection meet the following conditions:
- Certified by a recognized National Therapy Dog Registrar
- Certified Canine Good Citizen
- Meet additional requirements of organization being visited
We are glad to serve our community and do not charge for our visits.
